Richard Antonius have created about 20 animated films for adults and for children.

All with his own screenplay,storyboard, design and also animations.

PERSONAL HISTORY:

January 07.1947- Born in Nowy Sacz. POLAND

Younger brother of Julian Jozef Antonisz (non camera)

1978 - Married. Wife Grazyna Ella.

Two sons: Kacper 1980  and Martin Oscar 1986.

1965 -71 The Fine Arts Academy. Cracow.Poland

        Graphic Department. Diploma in: Book illustration, typography, woodcut,           lithography, animation.

1972 -1981 Filmdirector at Cracow´s Animated Film Studio. Poland.

1975 - (summer) freelance animator and inbetweener at Team Film AB in Sweden .

FILMS:

1974 - "Bye Bye Steam" At The Animated Film Studio in Cracow (Poland)  (debut)

Prizes: "Brazowy Lajkonik" at the 14th OFFK in Cracow 1974 Poland.

1976 -  "MIKI MOL" (Miki The Bookworm) - The first film with this character.Poland.

1977 -  "Phantomobile" -an experimental film made with his own unique graphic                method: edisography.

Prizes: "Brazowy Lajkonik" at the 17th OFFK in Cracow 1977 Poland.

1978 -  "SEXI LOLA AUTOMATIC" - an experimental film with a graphic method: fluovision

Prizes: Spec. Award of Jury for the film set at the 4th MFFA in Espinho 1980

1981 - Settled in Sweden. Stockholm. His firm: ANTONIUS ANIMATION.

1983 -  "Telerica" - commercial animated film for LM ERICSSON.Sweden

1985 -88 TITLINGS (for Swedish Television 1 and 2)

1990 -  "THE VOICE OF THE EARTH" -an animated film

Prizes:

Spec.Dipl. at the 37th MFFK in Oberhausen 1991

Spec.Jury Award at 15th MFFA in Espinho 1991

Certificate of Appreciation at MFF in Chicago 1991

Spec. Jury Award at MFF in Madrid 1992

 

1996 - "MIKI MOL AND THE HORRIBLE MONSTERCOAT"

      - a long animated film for children (for Polish Television)

1992 - 98 - Series "Tales Behind The Window" for Polish Televison. (10 films)

at Animated Film Studio in Cracow . Poland.

1996 - 2000 - "PIANO CONCERTO" an animated film d´auteur.

 

RA`s films has been presented at many Film Festivals:

Oberhausen, Annecy, Chicago , Espinho, Madrid , Cracow , Clermont-Ferrand,Melbourne,Zagreb, Moscow, Dijon, Odense.

Also several prizes at Film Festival For Children and Teenagers in Poznan

for films for children.

 

ILLUSTRATIONS , COMPUTER GRAPHICS and LOGOTYPES:

Richard Antonius has developed his own, experimental graphic methodes:

Edisography, Spongography and Fluovision. He works also with air-brush.

As a computer graphic he works on Mac with Photoshop.

1983 - Illustrations for calendar for LM ERICSSON (1984) Sweden

1985 - Employed at Klara Papper -Advertising Agency as computer graphic.

1986 - Employed at ARGUS Advertising Agency as illustrator, typographer, animator. 
1988 - (April) 3 drawings published in THE NEW YORK TIMES.

1995 - Illustrations for his second novel for children " Miki Mol and The Horrible Monstercoat". (published 1996)

1982 - 2000 Illustrations and covers for swedish publishing houses:

 Natur och Kultur, LTs, Brombergs, Informationsförlaget, Timbro,Sellin &Co.

1967 -1971 -Songtexts for avantgarde ROCK´N´ROLL CABARET "ZDROJ JANA" 
           at Fine Arts Academy in Cracow. Poland          

1971- Literary debut: A short story published in POLA ESPERANTISTO.

          "Balado pri lingvo artefarita" in Esperanto.(The Ballad of an Artificial 
           Language")            

1974-1979  Film scripts for his own short films.

1979-1981  Two novels for children" Miki Mol" (Published in Poland 1986)

              and "Miki Mol and The Horrible Monstercoat" (published in 1996)

1980 -Recordings: "Miki Mol and The Magical Time Machine" - Tale for children on 
     two longplay records.             

            Published by POLSKIE NAGRANIA MUZA .Poland 1985-87.

1991 -1998 - 10 Film scripts for cartoon serie "Tales Behind The Window".(Poland)

1994 - Screenplay for a long animated film: "Miki Mol and The Horrible Monstercoat".

1998 - Screenplay for a feature adventure film: "Quasiland".

2001-2002 - A big fantasy-adventure novel "Qanaria".

2002 - A new international , auxiliary language Atlango - created by R.A.Antonius

ATLANGO - a new, neutral common language for Europe.
